Teaching can be a puzzle...

Let me help you put the pieces together!

Hi, I'm Michelle

I'm so glad you're here!

There are so many components, philosophies, and student needs when it comes to literacy instruction. And so little time!

After more than two decades in the field, I've seen it all...and it's high time we SIMPLIFY. You are not going to see ads or products to buy here. Teachers have enough "stuff" to cover the Earth three times over!

What teachers need now more than ever is to cut the clutter and the confusion--with practical, doable, and research-aligned best practices that impact student learning-- AND that make your day to day work easier and more rewarding.

Through 1:1 coaching, I can help you gain clarity, simplify your teaching, and ensure impactful learning for your students. Whether you're new to teaching, well-seasoned, or are a school leader, I am here to be your literacy partner!

With over 20 years in the field of elementary education, I can support you no matter where you are in your literacy teaching journey.

This is my sole purpose and my passion. If that sounds like it's what you're looking for, you've come to the right place!

More About Me

I GET IT. I'VE BEEN THERE. TEACHING IS HARD!!

There's A LOT to teaching literacy, and it's constantly evolving. There's always new and better research around best practices, and lots of opinions. It's so hard to keep up!

My goal is to help teachers at all levels solve their literacy challenges.

After more then two decades as an educator, I've learned a whole lot of lessons. I've read all the books, had years of training, and have had much success in the classroom. And I continue to learn each and every day. I'm here to share what I've learned to help YOU!

Together, we can solve your literacy puzzles. You are not alone!

Through coaching, we can work together to determine which instructional practices will truly move the needle for YOUR kids. I help you cut through the noise and the clutter that can bog us down and create stress to get down to what's most important--improving student learning.

What Others Say About Coaching with Me

  • Michelle's coaching cycles allow for teacher autonomy and meeting the needs of ALL students. She took the time to understand my goals, strengths, and areas of improvement. We then used real-time data to decide on my instructional practices. She offered best teaching practices and provided feedback. She checked in to ensure that I continued to meet my goal(s). She helped build my teaching confidence and was my biggest cheerleader! Her motto of "How can I help" is evident in her practice.
