About Michelle

Hi there--so glad you're here! Having spent over 20 years as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, and now literacy coach, I've seen trends come and go. With that can often come confusion, overwhelm, and loss of confidence in ourselves. The joy of teaching can get lost along the way. But teaching doesn't have to be so hard! You are not alone in this enormous job--I'm here to help!

Why did I decide to begin a teaching blog now, when there are already so many others out there?  Because it's high time we SIMPLIFY.  You are not going to see ads or products to buy here, EVER.  Teachers have enough "stuff!"   What teachers need now more than ever is to cut the clutter and the confusion--with practical, doable, and research-aligned best practices that impact student learning-- AND that make your day to day work easier and more rewarding.  This is my sole purpose and my passion.    If that sounds like it's what you're looking for, you've come to the right place!

Let's work together to STREAMLINE, SIMPLIFY, AND STRENGTHEN your literacy instruction!

Reach out for a coaching call for 1:1 support with literacy. Consider joining my FB group, and follow me on Instagram and Pinterest for more tips and ideas! To learn more about my background, visit my About page.
